She was born on October 24, 1939 in Hoboken, N.J. to George and Anna (Blitter) Lahmann.
She married Richard Biegler in N.J. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1984.
Surviving are her children, Sharon (Ronald) Cox of Glasford, Darlene Biegler-Akers of East Peoria, Christine Biegler of Peoria, four grandchildren, Ellen Adams, Richard Adams, Stephanie Lopez, Todd Akers Jr, four great grandchildren and one brother George (Cheryl) Lahmann of AZ
Also preceding her in death are her parents and three sisters, Margie Kenney and Mary Jablonski and Alice Folger.
Helen retired from OSF St Francis in Peoria after 26 years of service. She was a past member of St Jude Women’s Club in Bartonville, the Rebekah Lodge and the Oddfellows. She was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton and was an avid Bingo player.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 10 am until noon at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A graveside service will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria at 1pm.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
