Florence I. Giagnoni

Florence I. Giagnoni, 95 of Farmington, passed away at 8:02 AM on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Farmington Village. She was born on March 6, 1929 in Peoria, a daughter of Ed and Anna (Shillhorn) Green. She married Geno Giagnoni on September 19, 1948 in Trivoli. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1999 in Farmington.

Surviving are her children, David Giagnoni of Farmington, and Carol Giagnoni of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, and enjoyed bowling with her friends. Over the years, her son, David coached the Farmington High School Boys Track team, and as the boys reached their goals, Florence would reward them with a cake. Over the years he was coaching she baked over 1400 cakes.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Peggy Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow the services on Monday at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington. Memorials can be made to Farmington Rescue Squad 1100, or Farmington Historical Society, or to Farmington United Methodist Church.
