He was born May 13, 1934 at Bernadotte the son of Frank and Zella (Hoyle) Beaird. He married Lorena Churchill at Lewistown. She survives along with two sons, Ronald Beaird of Vermont, and Rick Beaird of Lewistown, daughter-in-law, Kathy Burton of Meredosia, granddaughter, Jen Jacobs of Bloomington, three great grandchildren, Madelyn, Annalies, and Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Donald was a pipe fitter at Caterpillar retiring with 35 years of service. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the UAW Local 974. Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting morel mushrooms, and spending time with his family especially his granddaughter and great grandchildren.
Donald’s funeral will be at 11:00 AM Friday October 11th at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with military services provided by the US Navy, Lewistown VFW Post, and Lewistown American Legion Post.
