George E. Kenney, 64, of Canton, passed away on October 12, 2024 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on March 13, 1960 in Canton to George H. and Kay (Pimble) Kenney. George married Marceline “Marcie” Shields on July 21, 1995 in Canton. She survives along with his parents. Also surviving are their children; Tyler Kenney of Dallas City, Justine Richardson of Liverpool, Ryan Kenny of Canton, Rebbecca Myers of Springfield, Jake Butler of Springfield, Grant Butler of Springfield, Billy (Zack) LaLa of Champaign, Joey Smith of Canton, Jennie Hendrick of Cuba and Kyle Richardson of Elmwood, two brothers; Everette (Renea) Kenney of Canton and John (Chris) Johnson of Cuba and sister Tina (Ben) Hebert of Springfield and sixteen grandchildren; Hunter, Colton, Amellia, Chace, Montey, Lilly, Grace, Zoey, Irene, Jessie, Rylee, Emma, Ryder, Brougan, Bradley and Brackston.
George worked as a self-employed floor installer. He was a member of Fin & Feather Club and loved to go fishing, hunting and camping.
