Sawyer Ruth Fawcett

Sawyer Ruth Fawcett, of Ipava, was healed and went home to Jesus at 11:45 a.m. Sunday Sept. 13, 2015, at OSFF NICU in Peoria, IL.

She was born Sept. 6, 2015 in Peoria, a daughter of Clint and Emily Fawcett. She was welcomed into this world by her big brother Avery and big sisters Emerson and Hadley. Her maternal grandparents, David and Patricia Jones of Table Grove, paternal grandparents, Ben and Gretchen Fawcett of Ipava, and paternal great-grandmother, Wanda Fawcett of Ipava, along with her huge family also celebrated her arrival.

Our sweet Sawyer fought hard every day, and every day was a good day. The journey wasn’t what we had imagined, but we would choose it again today. We cling to the assurance of salvation and hope of heaven, as we live apart. Our peace in her passing comes from Psalm 139:13-16. “For you created Sawyer’s inmost being; you knit her together in her mother’s womb. We praise you because she was fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, we know that full well.  Her frame was not hidden from you when she was made in the secret place. When she was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw her unformed body. All the days ordained for Sawyer were written in your book before one of them came to be.” We were blessed with Sawyer Ruth and the great days we were given. Today is still a great day.

Services will be held at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Ken Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 from 5-7. The funeral will be Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 at 10:00 am.  Memorials may be made to OSF NICU or Peyton’s Promise (peytonspage.org).
