She was born on October 16, 1938 in Topeka, KS to Albert “Vern” and Bonnie (Butler) Tevis. She was raised on the family farm along with her siblings.
She married Frederick “Jerry” Marquis on December 10, 1955 in Melvern, KS.
He preceded her in death on March 13, 2026. Also preceding her in death is her parents and one son, Richard Marquis.
She leaves behind her children, Jeri (Clif) O’Brien, Tony (Terrie) Marquis, six grandchildren, Keith Marquis, Bailee O’Brien, Josh Marquis, Jason Marquis, Carlie (Justin) Rowe, Dusty Marquis and seven great grandchildren. All of whom loved her dearly.
She is also survived three siblings are Jeanie (Late Rex) Browning, Don (Kathy) Tevis and Donna (Dale) Mochamer.
Eileen worked many years in the banking industry including in Canton, Hayden County and Ottawa, KS, retiring in January of 2004.
Although we are saddened by her passing, she made this world a better place.
Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.
