Lloyd Ingersoll, 90, of Mason City, passed away at 12:40 p.m., on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care, in Lincoln, Illinois. He was born February 10, 1936, in San Jose, Illinois, to Paul and Marie (Eichelberger) Ingersoll. He married Joyce Hickman on November 9, 1963, in Palmyra, Missouri. She preceded him in death in 1998. He later married Cathy Rock, and she preceded him in death. He married Nancy Dunniway on January 14, 2012. She survives.
Mr. Ingersoll is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Mason City; three children: Jean Martin, Debra Miller, and Randy (Rose) Ingersoll; as well as four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives: Joyce Ingersoll and Cathy Rock; three sisters: Lillian Kettman, Lorraine McCloskey, and Lois Hardy; and two grandchildren: Jackie and T.J.
Mr. Ingersoll was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Manito. He served in the US Army from 1959 - 1961, being stationed in Germany. Graduated from Easton High School in 1953 and worked for Caterpillar Inc, in the 1960s. He was a farmer for over fifty years, and also worked as a meter reader for Menard Electric and a newspaper delivery man for the Peoria Journal Star for many years. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes and was a two-time Illinois state champion. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a member of Mason County Farm Bureau, Irrigated Growers, and served as Pennsylvania Township Trustee for 44 years. He was awarded the Golden Farmer Award in 2025.
Visitation will be held at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home, in Manito, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 23, 2026, with an additional hour of visitation one hour prior to the services.
. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Havana. Rev. Matthew Berndt will officiate.
