He was born on October 14, 1965 in Chicago to Richard and Rosalie (Kirk) Waskow.
He married Mary Louise Suttles on December 19, 1987 in Morris, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Vian, OK, children, Emily Waskow of San Antonio, TX, Garrett (Brittany) Waskow of Houston, TX, Allison Waskow of Chillicothe, Sara Waskow of Canton, Jacob (Alyssa Slaight) Waskow of Dekalb, siblings, David (Jeanne) Waskow of LaPorte, IN and his twin sister, Rachelle (Craig) McCoy of Lewistown, Joseph (Heidi) Waskow of Ellettsville, IN and his twin sister, Judith (Robin) Chin of Fort Lauderdale, FL, two grandchildren, Maisyn and Sadie and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was currently working for LS Building Products in East Peoria as a regional sales representative. He was an accomplished wrestler and was active in the “Athletes for Action” organization, wrestling in Japan and South Korea. He continued his passion for wrestling and sports with his children by coaching and assisting in the wrestling, football and softball programs. Bob’s most important role in his life was being a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Cremation rites have been accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 4-6 pm at the First Church of the Nazarene in Canton. A funeral service will be held at 6pm following the celebration at the church.
Memorials may be made to Fuzzy Bee’s wrestling program in Canton.
