George H. Kenney, 86, of Canton, passed away on April 9,2026 at his residence. He was born on August 20, 1939 in Pekin to Everett B. and Matria (Lee) Kenney. George married Kay Pemble on March 12, 1960 in Canton. She survives along with their son Everett (Renai) Kenney of Canton, daughter-in-law Marceline Kenney of Canton, six grandchildren; Tyler Kenney, Chantel Hoerr, Justine Richardson, Travis Ewing, Brandon Kenney and Ryan Kenney and fifteen great-grandchildren.George was preceded in death by his parents, one son George E. Kenney, four brothers, Orville, Paul, Dale and David and one sister Donna Williams.
George worked at Caterpillar INC. for 32 years, retiring in 1992.
Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
