He was born on November 6, 1939, in Canton to Torris and Pearl (McAlister) Roberson. They preceded him in death as well as his previous wife, Diane (Williams) Simons, son Craig Roberson, and siblings, Alice Jones, and Marion Edwards.
Larry is survived by his life partner, Donna DeGroot, daughter, Lisa (Jack) Gray, two siblings, Lorena (Joel) Summers, and Jeannie (Charles) Dangler, two grandchildren, Clinton Lovel, and Kayla Lovel, four great grandchildren, Wyatt, Bailey, Emily, and Cooper, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was a truck driver for many years and farmed, he retired from Prax Air in Pekin. Larry was a past member of the Glasford Masonic Lodge, and a member of White Chapel Church in Glasford. Larry enjoyed hunting fishing and farming. He could name a song for any word you could come up with and enjoyed telling stories, and spending time with his family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service.
Burial will immediately follow the services at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to White Chapel Church.
