Sharon was born January 11, 1947, in Elmwood, to Vernon Hogue and Gladys (Slane) Matthew.
Sharon is survived by two children, Angie Welker of Yates City and Roxann Snyder of Canton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Bud Bennett; her second husband, Leonard Shanklin; one daughter, Laura Hughes; and three brothers, Bob Hogue, Roy Hogue, and Don Hogue.
Sharon was a Cashier at Long John Silver’s in Pekin for over 25 years.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood.
Cremation rites will then be accorded.
