Mark A. Riese Sr, 72, of Peoria Heights, IL, passed away at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Loft Rehabilitation in Peoria.
Mark was born July 29, 1953, to Martin and Lois (Eatinger) Riese in Peoria. Mark married Judy Edwards on November 22, 1975, at the Homewood Evangelical Free Church in Moline, IL. She survives.
Mark is also survived by three children, Michelle Jarboe of Peoria Heights, IL, Mark (Sara) Riese Jr of Peoria, IL, and Nathan (Kelli) Riese of Princeville, IL; one brother, Paul Riese; one sister, Chris (Mike) Flandermeyer; and fifteen grandchildren, Nathan, Owen, Nikola, Zoe, Rhema, Ezra, Micah, Asher, Ella, Thea, Obadiah, Silas, Levi, Timothy, and Rebecca.
Mark was a Postal Clerk at the Davenport Post Office for 32 years and also worked at WDLM radio station for 25 years. He was a member of the Aledo Presbyterian Church for over 25 years and served as a Ruling Elder.
Services will be 2 pm, Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Aledo, IL, where visitation will be 1 hour prior to services.
Memorials may be made to the Peoria Rescue Mission.
