Cheryl was born on July 31, 1960, in Peoria, to Emma Lou Seeley Maness and the late Onie V. Maness.
She married the love of her life, Todd Kellar, on September 22, 1990, in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving Cheryl are her mother, Emma Lou Maness of Elmwood; her siblings, Gary Maness of Maquon and Pam Maness of Elmwood; her in-laws, Kim Streenz of Colfax, Lea Ann Watson of Lexington, and Rodney (Terri) Kellar of Colfax; and her nieces and nephews, Leigh Ann (Justin) Largent, Melissa (Justin) Schwartz, Dimitri (Natalie) Almasi, Anastasia (Jordan) Wegs, Justin (Salina) Durst, Jamy (Tucker) Shaw, Kara (Chad) Ritchie, Brooke Hermanowicz, Michael (Lindsay) Kellar, and Lauren (Dustin) McCarty. She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews whom she greatly adored.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Onie; her sister, Vickie Maness, her father-in-law, Leon Kellar; and her mother-in-law, Marilyn Kellar.
Cheryl was a 1978 graduate of Elmwood High School.
She loved her entire family fiercely and was an amazing friend to so many. Cheryl was known for her infectious laugh and warm smile, and you could always count on her willingness to help anyone in need. She was a lover of all animals, both inside and out. Cheryl had a deep affection for travel with Todd, family, and friends, especially to Florida. Cheryl also loved Mickey Mouse and proudly cheered on her St. Louis Cardinals.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at Elmwood Township Cemetery. All who knew Cheryl are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Peoria Elks Lodge #20 on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Casual attire.
