Richard C. Eberley

Richard C. Eberley, 89, of Trivoli, passed away at 1:10 AM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Graham Hospital in Canton, IL. He was born on April 30, 1936 in Peoria, IL, to Charles and Velma (Feinholz) Eberley. He married Martha Miller on October 13, 1957. She survives.

He is also survived by his three children, David (Brenda) Eberley Sr., Martin “Drew” (Bunnie) Eberley, and Aleta (John) “Jamie” Litwiller; five grandchildren, David (Taylor) Eberley Jr., Maggie (Steve) Black, Marcy (Jarrod) Roberts, Lexie (Zach) Davis, Annemarie Litwiller; six great-grandchildren, Steven, Daniel, Denver, Whitley, Layla, and Zade’ and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Norma Jean Sipfle.

Richard was a heavy equipment operator for Local 649. He graduated from Farmington High School in 1954. He enjoyed farming, square dancing, and playing cards.

Richard was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Greenland during the Korean war.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM -1:30 PM same day at the funeral home. Pastor Jason Gilmore will officiate. Burial will follow service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural Eden, IL.
