Jane Vahle

Jane Vahle, 69, of St. David, passed away at 10:25 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL. She was born on January 16, 1957 in Canton, IL, to Richard and Catherine (Bouc) Casper. She married Marty Vahle on May 10, 1975 in Canton, IL. He survives.

She is also survived by her two children, Joshua and Brooke Vahle; one granddaughter, Lillie Vahle; two brothers, Steve (Jill) Casper and Richard “Dickie” (Dianna) Casper; one sister, Kathy (Roy) Topp; Chris, Carla, Jeremy, Crystal, William, Doug, Korin, Tiffany, Larry, Rebecca and Ashley; Sister-in-law, Valerie (Brian) Putman, and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Dorothy (Dawson) Casper and Patricia (George) Bouc; Mother and Father-in-law, Bill (Louise) Vahle; and brother-in-law, Dennis Vahle. 

Jane loved doing crafts with her dad, Lillie, and Brooke. She also loved cooking with Lillie. She enjoyed bird watching and taking care of her flowers in the summer.

Jane touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.

Funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Visitation will be held the same day at the funeral home from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Trent Parrish will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Illinois.
