Karla Leffler

Karla R. Leffler, 58, of Canton, passed away at 11:12 pm January 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born on September 15, 1965 in Canton to Eddie K. and Patricia A. (Black) Weaver. Karla is survived by her father Eddie Weaver of Maple Mills, ex-Husband Dan Leffler of Canton, daughter Emy Leffler of Canton and three brothers; Chris Weaver of Louisville, KY, Randy (Pam) Weaver of Dubuque, IA and Lance (Cheryl) Weaver of San Ramon, CA.

Karla graduated from Canton High School class of 1983, received her nursing degree from OSF St. Francis and earned her masters in nursing from Loyola University of New Orleans. She worked as a RN at Graham Hospital in Canton and OSF St. Francis where she also was an instructor. Karla loved to paint, teach, fish, play games and always loved to help others around her. Her true love was her friends and family but her whole world and number one in her life was truly her daughter, Emy.

She loved to go vacationing with her family and making chicken and noodles for family gatherings.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to an education fund for her daughter Emy Leffler. To leave online condolences, please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
