Geraldine M. Myers

Geraldine M. Myers, 89, of Canton, passed away, Wednesday, January, 24, 2024, at Courtyard Estates in Farmington. She was born in Bernadotte Township, on January 31, 1934, to Howard and Alice (Chenoweth) Chambers. They preceded her in death. She married Dean Myers on June 23, 1951 in Cuba. He preceded her in death in December 27, 2000. Also preceding her in death is one son, Kent E. Myers, two brothers Frank (June) Chambers, Richy Chambers and one sister, Connie Fields.

She is survived by one son Kevin (Beth) Myers of Canton, one brother, Larry (Elaine) Chambers, three sisters, Dorla (the late Clifford) Helle, Judy (late Rollin Rumler) Rench, and Lynn (Roy) Spangler, a sister-in-law, Marcia Chambers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Geraldine is a graduate of Cuba High School, she later worked for Graham Hospital School of Nursing, and later retired in 2000 from Dr Carlos Funes Office. She was a member of Shield’s Chapel United Methodist Church, and a former Canton Moose member. She enjoyed going to yard sales and dancing with her husband. She loved her dogs and dog sitting her grand-dogs.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11 am at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at the Ipava Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Courtyard Estates-Betty’s Garden or Fulton County Humane Society or Shields Chapel Church.
