Josephine C. Ulm

London Mills- Josephine C. Ulm, 86, of London Mills, passed away at 1:31 AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her residence. She was born on July 21, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a daughter of Frank and Florence (Lubinski) Bearce. She married Charles Leonard Ulm in 1957. He preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, son, Ray Embree, daughter, Patricia Jolynn Leady, grandson, Daniel; three brothers and two sisters.

Surviving Josephine, are her children, Diana (Jeff) Peterson of Henderson; Mary Ellen (Denny) Pollitt of Canton; Cynthia (Michael) Utt of London Mills; Charles Leonard “Lennie” (Crystal) Ulm of London Mills; eleven grandchildren; several great, and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Keith and Richard Bearce, and six sisters, Birtie, Dorothy, Barb, Rita, Maggie, and Richanda.

She worked as a CNA for several years within nursing homes, and health home services in the area, and was of the Catholic Faith.

Per Josephine wishes, there will be no services, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Burial of ashes will take place at East Midway Cemetery in London Mills. Memorials can be made to the Fairview Food Pantry, 700 Carter Street, Fairview, Illinois 61432.
