He was born October 5, 1958, to Gene and Carol (Reinhart) Emerick in Peoria.
He is survived by one brother, Marty (Kay) Emerick of Yates City; three sisters, Lisa (Steve) Staggs of Elmwood, Terri (Doug) Cosby of rural Elmwood, and Cherri (Tom) Hoefft of Dunlap; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Steven didn’t know a stranger. He had the biggest heart. Steven’s favorite thing to do was going for a ride in the car and going out to eat.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial of ashes will be held at Elmwood Township Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Center at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Davenport, IA.
