She was born on November 23, 1987 in Peoria to Michael and Tammy (Crumley) Brown. They survive along with her children, Mason Coile, Lucas Coile, Bailey Coile, paternal grandparents, John “Jack” and Hazel Brown of Farmington, sisters, Melinda (Jacob Ulm) Brown of Farmington, Melanie Brown of Morton, Meleah (Matthew) Stenger of Farmington, Melaina (Austin) DeWester of Farmington, Meleasha (Walter Zessin) Brown of Farmington and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Shirley Crumley and her sister’s infant “baby Spencer”.
Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Business administration and later worked for State Farm Insurance. She was active in the Farmington JFL program and also enjoyed reading and cooking. Most of all she was a proud and loving mother, daughter, granddaughter and aunt.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation held two hours prior at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington.
Memorials may be made to the Farmington JFL program.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
