Robert Lee "Bob" Morris

Robert Lee “Bob” Morris, 83, of Kilbourne, passed away at 2:40 a.m., on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Passavant Area Hospital, in Jacksonville. He was born July 24, 1939, in Compton Illinois, to Henry and Clara (Kruse) Morris. He married Shirley Goben on June 18, 1965, in Havana. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2018.

Mr. Morris is survived by two daughters: Melody (Lloyd Hughes) Morris and Patty Morris, both of Havana; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, Eddie Morris, one sister, Helen Louise Pratt and 1/2 brother, Glenn Morris.

Mr. Morris was a longtime Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed hunting ducks, rabbits and doves, as well as fishing. He also spent his time taking care of the farm animals.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Hurley Funeral Home, in Havana. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Havana. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post #6408 and American Legion Post #138, Havana.
The Morris family requests that all in attendance dress casually, wearing either camo, flannels or Cubs gear.
