She was born July 19, 1954 in Peoria the daughter of Harry T. and Louise Kay (Durham) Doran. She married Maurice Cannon on November 29, 1975 at Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, Maurice (Laura) Cannon Jr. of Schertz, TX; Todd (Amanda) Cannon of Dunlap, Thomas (Rebecca) Cannon of Table Grove, and Raymond (Ricci) Cannon of Canton, one brother, Raymond (Connie) Doran of Peoria, two sisters, Linda (Dave) Bell of Peoria, and Sharon Stear of Hanna City, fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Mary worked for Peoria Public School District 150 for over 25 years. She was also a substitute cook for VIT District 2 at Table Grove. Mary attended Smithfield Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and tracking lottery numbers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday January 3rd at the Smithfield Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Dean Potts officiating. Burial will follow the service at Baughman Cemetery rural Smithfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Mary’s cemetery headstone.
