Cuba- Charles L. Mason, 85, of rural Cuba, passed away at 8:30 am Monday January 23, 2023 at his home.
He was born June 30, 1937 at Canton, the son of Blake and Sylvia (Melvin) Mason. He married Vicki Seward on April 26, 1959 at Lewistown. She survives with one son, Brett Mason of Lewistown, three grandsons, Justin Ramey of Lewistown, Dylon Ramey of Fairview, and Dakota Ramey of Armington, four great grandchildren, Lucien Ramey, Jaiden Ramey, Lexi Ramey, and Finley Ramey, and three siblings, Pat Benns of Pinckneyville, Larry (Rosemary) Mason of Summum, and Lynn Mason of Havana. He was preceded by his parents, one daughter, Lissi Ramey, two infant sons, Ethen Mason, and Michael Mason, and one brother, Lyle Mason.
Charlie worked as a millwright for 27 years at Canton International Harvester. He also owned and operated his own Bulldozing service, and also farmed, He was a member of the Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and horses.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday January 28, 2023 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with Pastor Brant Reed officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 pm at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Street Christian Church.
