Elmwood – Ruth E. Slayton, 84, of Elmwood, died at 5:40 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2015 at Sunset Manor in Canton.
She was born on September 14, 1930 in Canton.
Surviving are three children Raymond (Linda) Slayton of Mapleton, Michael Slayton of Woodridge, and Linda Laughlin of Streator, and several grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Conlin.
Ruth was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elmwood.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Private burial of ashes will be at Elmwood Twp. Cemetery.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
