Robert W. Bartlett, 74, of Canton, passed away at 2:26 am Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on January 17, 1941 in Lewistown to Orlie E. and Virginia (Ford) Bartlett. Bob married Marsha Girard on October 1, 2005 in Banner. She survives along with 8 children; Robert (Laura) Bartlett-Mendenhall of Canton, Suzanne (Todd) Putman of Canton, Richard (Amber) Quin of Cuba, Donald Bartlett of Burlington, Iowa, Jeff Bartlett of St. David, Hank (Kendra) Foster of Georgia, Mike (Kelly) Foster of Texas, Matt (Brandy) Foster of Louisiana, 2 brothers Alvin Bartlett of St. David, and Orlie “Jr” Bartlett of Canton, sister Helen Smith of Cuba, and several grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Toby Cooper.
Bob worked for International Harvester Company for 30 and ½ years retiring in 1989. After retiring he worked at Rice Lake and Banner Township. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Canton, was on the Banner Village Board for 8 years, Copper Creek Fire Department, commercial fisherman, avid duck hunter and fisherman, loved to play cards and life in general.
Services will be 11:30 am Wednesday, April 8 at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with visitation starting at 10 am. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
