He was born on January 17, 1958 in Springfield, IL to Vern and Marilyn (Winchel) Hawkins.
Surviving is his mother Marilyn of Glasford, IL his father Vern of Carlinville, IL six children, Carmen Hawkins of Denver, CO Melany Hawkins of Chatham, IL, Jennifer Duncan of OK, Tim Hawkins of Nashville, TN, Sara Hawkins of Canton, IL, Makaia Hawkins of Canton, IL, three brothers, Tad Hawkins of FL, Vern Hawkins of Carlinville, IL, Mike “Tiger” Grubor of Glasford, IL, eight grandchildren, Mercedes, Alizabeth, Alexis, Brayden, D.J., Maddisyn, Riyan, Julian and his beloved dog, Clover.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Vana Putman.
Tim served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He worked as a rural mail carrier in Mapleton and as a bus driver for the Glasford School District. Tim ran a farm in Glasford raising hogs, corn and beans. He enjoyed hunting bow and shotguns.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5-7, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. A graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11 am.
