Linda Woods, 81, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on January 4, 1943 in Canton to Robert and Marjorie (Goodman) Hadley. Marjorie later married Linda’s step father, Doyle Arnett. Linda grew up in Lewistown and enjoyed horses.
She married Jack Woods on March 25, 1967 in Springfield, IL and they enjoyed 47 yeas of marriage until his passing on September 18, 2014.
Surviving are her twin daughters Audra (Joe) Medvesky of Peoria, Sabra (Pat) Maurice of Sarasota, FL, Step children, Jeff Woods of Havana, Michelle Woods of Havana, grandchildren, Kendra Ulrich, Kyle Ulrich, Jacob Burress, Jalin Burress, great grandchild, Chance Ulrich, brother-in-law, Bill (Mary Ann) Duffield and several nephews, cousins and nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, step-father and one sister, Roberta Sue Duffield.
Jack and Linda raised their children in the house that Jack assisted building in Canton during 1974 and where Linda continued to reside until her death totaling 50 years for her in the home.
Linda graduated from Lewistown High School and later obtained her bachelor’s degree from Sagamon State University. She held social service positions in Canton through the Women’s Crisis Service, Canton School District and Spoon River College.
Linda passed on community service to her twin daughters who have also been employed in similar fields.

She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Canton where a memorial funeral service will be held on Wednesday. April 17, 2024 at 2 pm with a visitation to be held one hour prior.
Burial of the ashes will follow at the Oaks Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to Fulton County Ambulance or Canton Fire Department.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton has been entrusted with services.
