Georgia P. Bloyd

Canton- Georgia P. Bloyd, 87, formerly of Lewistown, passed away at 3:38 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born in Lewistown on April 20, 1936; a daughter of Stanley and Edith (Johnson) Eveland. She married Laurence “Pat” Bloyd. He preceded her in death in April of 2019.

Also preceding were both of her parents.

Surviving Georgia are her three step-children, Debby (Carl) Powell of Lewistown, Margy (Rick) Sedgwick-Renner of Canton, and Kevin (Shelly) Bloyd of Canton; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Georgia graduated from Lewistown Community High School, and she worked endlessly as an excellent homemaker for her husband and step-children. Although no one is supposed to pick a favorite, especially when it comes to family, she was highly fond of and close to her Aunt Estelle, whom she immensely enjoyed spending time with.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown, IL. Rev. Kevin VanTine will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society. To leave an online condolence, please go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
