Sheryl L. McCullough, 75, of St. David, passed away at Mason District Hospital, in Havana, at 12:36 p.m., on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was born January 22, 1949, in Canton, Illinois, to Kenneth and Melba (Rutledge) Ashwood.
Mrs. McCullough is survived by one son: Michael (Carla) Case, of Kilbourne; daughter, Amanda Purtle, of Cuba, Illinois; siblings: Kevin (Verna) Ashwood, of St. David, Lori Haynes, of Kansas; grandchildren: Brenda (Matt) Erley, Scott (Stacey) Blackwell, Jaime (Joshua) Owens, MacKenzie (Patrick) Hancock, and Mason Purtle; great-grandchildren: Jamie Wilcoxen. McKenna Blackwell, James Blackwell, Caden Hancock, Gavin Hancock, Conner Owens, Isaac Owens, Emersyn Hancock; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her fur-babies Molly and Sassy. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Karen and Marsha.
Mrs. McCullough was a licensed Cosmetologist for many years. She had volunteered with Ridge Lake Fire Department and BLS. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and researching genealogy. Most recently, she had worked at Casey’s in Lewistown.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at Kilbourne Community Center at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, April 12, 2024. A private burial will be held at Kilbourne Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
