Sharon graduated in 1962 from Cuba High School where she proudly served as valedictorian, major, and marjorette. Throughout her life she was an active member of the church, most recently the Fiatt Independent Christian Church. She was a devoted member of the Cuba Senior Center.Prior to moving to Ohio for Charlie’s Navistar relocation she worked at Soldwedel Dairy in Canton, MGM Insurance in Cuba, and as a homemaker with the Fulton County Health Dept. They moved back to Cuba in 2006. She loved attending her grandchildrens sporting events, browsing antiques at the flea markets, and spending time at the Seifert house. She loved all things community. Neighbors and friends quickly became family. Some of her most treasured memories were at the corner of 9th and Main where the McClaughry family provided an extra set of eyes, a helping hand, and abundance of love and support. She truly won the lottery landing at the corner of 9th and Main. The Seifert family brought endless laughter, car show adventures, and game nights. These friendships and countless moments spent together were woven into the most precious memories of her life. Community is not just where you live, it’s those that surround you in love, support and warmth. Sharon’s life is a true testament of this.
