Rodney L. Malone

Rodney L. Malone, 57, of Canton, IL died on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 10:53 pm at his home. He was born on April 7, 1969 in Canton to Arthur and Jeanetta (Clark) Malone, they preceded him in death.

Surviving Rodney are his children; Trevor Malone of Canton, IL, Anthony Malone of Canton, IL, Russell “Bucky” Brookman of Canton, IL, and Tresha Brookman of Canton, IL; one brother, Tom (Kim) Malone of Canton, IL; fifteen grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and Martha Malone of Canton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tim Malone, and two grandchildren.

Rodney was a mechanic for most of his life. He loved animals, he liked to fish, and he enjoyed working on cars.

A funeral service will be held at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 12:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Rev, Curtis Atchley will officiate. Burial will follow services at the Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Memorials may be made to a college fund for Rodney’s grandchildren at MidAmerica National Bank in Canton, IL.
