Canton – Gail A. Bernard, 68, of Canton passed away at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 1, 1948 in Peoria to Milford and Elda (Jochums) Stine. Gail married Richard L. Bernard on March 29, 1985 in Ingleside, IL. He survives along with one daughter Lisa Bernard of Dunlap, mother-in-law Charline Bernard of Fox Lake, brother, Jim Stine of Benson and sister, Jean Stine (Ratliffe) of Benson. She was a beloved Aunt to several.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents.
Gail worked as a High School Business Teacher for District 211, retiring in 2003. She was a member of First Christian Church in Canton. She was an avid golfer and loved playing cards, especially Bridge. She also enjoyed working in her garden and traveling around the world.
Services will be 11 am Saturday, August 6, 2016 at First Christian Church in Canton with Norman Pollitt officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society or St. Judes Midwest Affiliate. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
