He was born in Quincy, on January 12, 1950, to Ernest and Mary (Reuschel) Haschemeyer. They preceded him in death, as well as a sister Nancy (Gary)Wells, and brother Delbert (Sue) Haschemeyer
Also preceded him in death is his wife Sally (Newton) Haschemeyer. They were married on June 8, 1975, and shared 44 years of marriage until she passed away in 2019.
Wayne is survived by his children, Conrad (Lorna) Haschemeyer, and Cory (Julie) Haschemeyer, six grandchildren, Blare (Mica), Drue, Annalee, Mary, Chadrick and Charlie, four great grandchildren, Israe, Autum, Jennings, and Frankee, and three sisters, Peggy (Gary) McConkey, Sharon (the late Bob) Deakon, and Sheila (Randy) Wilt.
Wayne retired from Butternut Bread in 2011; he was a member of Shields Chapel United Methodist Church in Canton and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, and being outdoors, fishing and farming. He enjoyed going to American Grille in Canton to have breakfast and visit with friends. Most of all Wayne enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. a funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Shields Chapel Cemetery in Canton.
