Sandy Moshier

Sandy Moshier, 82, of Canton passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 at her residence.

She was born on August 14, 1943 in Beardstown to Asa “Ace” and Betty (Rayborn) Dupoy.

She married Raymond Moshier on December 18, 1979 in Canton. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2024.

Surviving is her son, Larry (Eugenia) Warden of Canton, four grandchildren, Cassie (Derek) Juliusson, Chrissy (Josh) Blevins, Caty Warden, Jessica Moma, five great grandchildren, one brother, Gary (Wendy) Dupoy of Las Vegas, two sisters, Patricia (Rusty) Surratt of Meredosia and Linda Dupoy of Hollister, MO.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, one sister, Betty Kaesberg, infant twin siblings Marion and Richard, and infant sibling Jackie.

Sandy worked alongside her husband as an apprentice plumber. She then became a social worker for Senior Services in Springfield retiring in 2000. After retiring she worked as an investigator for the Fulton County Humane Society and at Moshier Pool Supply. Together with her husband they raised German Shepherds for the Illinois State Police. Later in life she would spend her time quietly listening to audio books and music.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11 am at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. A burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.

Memorials may be made to Fulton County Humane Society.
