Robert E. White

Robert E. White, 84, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Monmouth Rehab and Nursing Center in Monmouth, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 18, 1940, in Avon to Robert L. and Alzaida (Berry) White. They preceded him in death, along with his brother, James White, and his nephew, James White Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer White of Farmington and Sheila (Eric “Arnie”) Powell of Alexis, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. He later worked for Keystone Steel and Wire, retiring after 39 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, gardening, and socializing with friends and neighbors. He was also a lifelong farmer.

Robert will be remembered as a hardworking, good-natured man who never hesitated to lend a hand. His quiet strength, steady presence, and friendly spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Monmouth Rehab and Nursing for their loving and compassionate care of Robert.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A visitation will be held two hours prior at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton with military honors.

Memorials may be made to Monmouth Rehab and Nursing or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.
