Kathleen S. Nelson

Kathleen S. Nelson, 72, of St. David, passed away on October 29, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 29, 1953 in Macomb to Harold and Jacqueline (Shaw) Gass. They preceded her in death along with one daughter Terri Lynn Nelson, two brothers; Donald Gass and Robert Gass and one sister Judy Gass.

Surviving are four children; Jennifer Weaver of Edwardsville, Christina D’Amico of Canton, Tammy L. Oatman of Canton and George “Mike” (Michelle) Nelson of Kilbourne, two brothers; Edward Gass of Bryant, AL and Daniel Gass of Canton, two sisters Connie Alexander of Table Grove and Peggy Ward of Pea Ridge, AK, and half-sister Becky Rawley of Missouri, thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kathleen retired from AT&T. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton and volunteered for LOVE INC.

Services will be 11 am, Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
