Michael "Mike" Edward Buck

Michael “Mike” Buck, 54, passed away on November 23, 2025 at his home in Manito. Mike is the son of Ed and Teresa (Brown) Buck, formerly of Manito, now living in Bonne Terre, Missouri. He was born April 6, 1971, in Berwyn, Illinois.

Mike lived his life enjoying, producing, and running sound for music. Yearly he went to Sturgis, South Dakota and ran sound for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. In his career, he ran sound for several big name stars, and also for the 2025 Manito Popcorn Festival.
Mike had a gentle nature and read and understood a lot of facts on many subjects, including science, history, politics, and religion. He loved people and was kind to everyone and he also loved animals.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at noon at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home in Manito, with a visitation two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow the service at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Rev. Steve Oaks will officiate.
