She was born January 16, 1935 at Canton, the daughter of Clayton M. and Lois L. (Lightle) Young. Survivors include three children, Allen (Sandy) Harper of Lewistown, Richard Harper of Lewistown, and Kathy (Danny) Herrick of Canton, one grandson, Jason Allen Harper of Fairview, and several step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Joe Putrich.
Shirley worked in the kitchen at Renaissance Care Center in Canton for many years. She was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Cremation will be accorded and a private burial of her ashes will take place at Baughman Cemetery at rural Smithfield. Condolences may be made at henrylange.com
