Robert J. Weyhrich

Robert John Weyhrich (Bob), 84, of Trivoli, Illinois, passed away on February 11th at 10pm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Hieronymus (Rony) Weyhrich, and his sister, Carol Carter. He is survived by his beloved family, Eileen Weyhrich (wife), Katie Klumb (daughter), Eddie (son) and Samantha (daughter-in-law), George and John (grandsons) Klumb, and Joe (son) and Emily (daughter-in-law), Remington, Abraham (grandsons) and Freya (granddaughter) Klumb.

Bob was born on November 29th, 1938 in Elmwood, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy and built his life and provided for his family through farming. Bob was a man who lived a life of integrity and hard work. He was a man of endless curiosity that was matched by an unending drive to learn, to experiment, to fail, and to try again, all for the sake of attaining knowledge. When asked what he would like to be remembered for he stated, “I want people to remember that I liked to tinker; that I liked to figure it out.” As a result, he was an expert in a vast array of topics, the person so many came to when they needed to figure out how to get things done. Bob enjoyed horseback riding with his wife and kids, flying as a private pilot, he was a gun enthusiast, enjoyed hunting, fishing, building, and fixing. Bob was reliable, a true man of his word, he was loving and he was loved. He is a man that cannot be replicated and his presence in the lives of those who have known and loved him will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Bob at Wehyrich’s Farm on May 28th, 2023. A formal service will take place at 1:30pm, followed by food. Come as you are but come to remember a remarkable man.
