Jack V. Smith, 72, of St. David, passed away at 6:35 AM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on February 11, 1948 in Canton, a son of Vernon and Louise (Weber) Smith.
Surviving are his two daughters, Angela (David) Ragle of Ipava; Kimberley (Greg) Schreacke of Elizabethtown, KY; his fiancé, Betty Brown of St. David; five grandchildren, Bryan (Rianna), Michelle, Rachel, Andrew, Bradley; and one sister, Kathie (Richard) Hamilton of Cuba.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Christopher I. Smith.
He worked as a Manager for Sherwin Williams paint stores in Macomb and Jacksonville, IL, and also was a painter for many years working with Larry Williams in Canton. He served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in Turkey during 1968 to 1971. Jack was an outdoorsman, enjoying camping and hunting, also he loved gardening.
