Herman Loyd Moore, 89, of Farmington, passed away surrounding by his loving family at 8:15 PM on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on October 7, 1931 in Palestine, Arkansas, a son of Herman Henry and Ida Mae (McFatridge) Moore. He married Shirley Bennett on August 4, 1950 in Pocahontas, Arkansas. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Dennis (Helen) Moore, David (Linda) Moore, Gina (Buddy) Davis, Jim (Amy) Moore, Randy (Diane) Moore, Chris (Pam) Moore; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one brother, James David Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, one brother, and three sisters.
He worked and retired from Midland Coal Company after several years of service, and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Per Herman’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial of ashes will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria at a later date. Memorials can be made to Donor’s Choice. To leave online condolences please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
