David Barnett, 69, passed away from cardiac complications, on January 12, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
He was born on March 13, 1951 in Joliet to Max and Barbara (Robinson) Barnett.
He married Patty Kovachevich on November 2, 1985 in Fairview.
He is survived by his step son, Tim (Marissa) Baxter of Killen AL, one sister, Shellie (Mike) Spencer of Canton, step grandchildren, Davin, Piper and Sawyer Baxter along with two nephews, Kerry Spencer, Todd Spencer, one niece Heidi Taylor and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Max Barnett and mother, Barbara Rock.
Dave retired from Caterpillar in 2001. After his retirement he worked part time at FS in Hanna City.
He enjoyed wood working, NASCAR and was a gun enthusiast.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 2:00 pm, at Oaks Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Foster Cemetery in rural Fairview.
Covid 19 mandates will be followed with social distancing and facial masks required.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
