Mary Franzoni

Canton-Mary Franzoni, 88, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
She was born on August 27, 1927 in Canton to William and Agnes (Machulis) Rose.  They preceded her in death.
She married Fred Franzoni on May 22, 1954 in Canton.  He preceded her in death on December 12, 1986.
Surviving are her children, Bill (Donna) Franzoni of Bloomington, Steve (Terry) Franzoni of Canton, Chris (Kari) Franzoni of Canton, Pete Franzoni of Chicago, eight grandchildren, Adam, Erica, Sam, Zac, Vinnie, Matt, Emily and Bella and seven great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death was her sister Anne Tomich.
Mary worked for Illinois Bell and later she worked with her husband as owner and operator of the Norris Grocery.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed the Cubs, bowling, fishing and polka dancing.  She and her sister-in-law, Lillian Franzoni, became the 1963 State Bocce Ball Champions.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 11 am, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the St Joseph Cemetery in Canton.
