Clifford D. Johns

TRIVOLI – Clifford D. Johns, 82, of Trivoli passed away at 4:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 15, 1933, in Trivoli, IL to Glen S. and Grace F. (Richardson) Johns. He married Joanne M. (Allison) Johns on May 23, 1959.
Surviving are Joanne; one son, David A. (Becky) Johns of Trivoli, IL; two sisters, Evelyn Butkus of Morrison, IL, Barbara Routson of Lewistown, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Frank B. Stein; and one grandson, Matthew D. Johns
Cliff worked as a claims adjuster for Country Financial for 39 years.  In later years, he worked at Heritage Bank of Illinois as a courier for 10 years.
He was a founding member of the Logan-Trivoli Fire Protection District, member of the Farmington Moose Lodge, United States Trotting Association, and Illinois Harness Horseman’s Association.
Cliff served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Visitation will be held 11:00 am – 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL.  Private family graveside service will be held at 12 noon at Trivoli Cemetery.   Pastor Dean Grabill will officiate.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life at the Farmington Moose Lodge 1571 following the graveside service.
