CANTON- Linda C. Walker, 71, of Canton, passed away at 3:03 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on May 2, 1944 in Canton, a daughter of Herbert and Betty Donigan Kinkead. She married Harold E. Walker on July 21, 1963 in Canton. He survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Angela (Jeff) Plesko of Streator, IL; three sons, Brian (Renee) Walker of St. Peters, MO., Ron C. Walker, and James M. Walker both of Canton; three grandchildren, Sydnee and Nick Plesko of Streator, IL, and Kayla Sullivan of St. Peters, MO; four brothers, Rod Orr and Rick Orr of Missouri, Bill Orr of Canton, and Jim Orr of Texas; one sister Sharon Orr of Peoria; and her biological father Roy Orr of Canton.
Preceding her in death is her mother, Betty Donigan; her step-father, Herbert Kinkead; and one brother, Bob Orr.
Linda worked at the Canton School District #66 where she retired in 2004. She was a member of First Baptist Church and involved in Relay for Life.
Services will be at 11 AM on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Sedgwick Funeral Home in Canton where a visitation will be from 10-11 AM. Pastor Monroe Bailey will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to Fulton County Humane Society.
