St. David – Mary Ann Davis, 78,
of Tempe, AZ, formerly of St. David, passed away at 3:30 p.m. on Friday,
February 26, 2016, in Tempe, AZ.
She was born February 12, 1938,
in Canton to Nelson and Dorothy M. (Douglas) DeGroot.
She married Jack L. Davis on June
3, 1966, in Lewistown. He preceded her
in death on March 1, 1987.
She is survived by two children,
Desiree K. Powers and Kevin L. Davis, both of Tempe, AZ; two brothers, William
L. and Kenneth R. DeGroot; two grandchildren, Amber and Kody Davis; five
great-grandchildren, Emmanuel, Nathan, Raymond, Samuel, and Desiree Ford; and
one great-great-grandchild, Ariana Chavez.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; one son, Gerald Powers; one sister, Shirley Seward; and one
granddaughter, Sonya Ford.
Mary formerly worked as a CNA at
Graham Hospital and in custodial services at Spoon River College.
Cremation rites have been
accorded. Graveside services will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at White Chapel Memory Gardens
in Canton. Immediately following
graveside services, the family will receive friends and family at the Longview
Apartments Community Room (414 N. 1st Ave.) in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the
charity of the donor’s choice.
