She then attended Olivet Nazarene College and Graham School of Nursing before her marriage. She worked at Mason District Hospital in Havana, IL, Velma’s Grocery in Ipava and as a home health care worker for many years.

Memberships: She was a member of the Fulton County Home Extension and the Ipava Christian Church, where she served the Lord through playing the piano, singing and teaching Sunday school. She was best known for baking wedding, birthday and graduation cakes.
