Sandy Moshier

Sandy Moshier, 82, of Canton passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 at her residence.

She was born on August 14, 1943 in Beardstown to Asa “Ace” and Betty (Rayborn) Dupoy.

She married Raymond Moshier on December 18, 1979 in Canton. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2024.

Surviving is her son, Larry (Eugenia) Warden of Canton, four grandchildren, Cassie (Derek) Juliusson, Chrissy (Josh) Blevins, Caty Warden, Jessica Moma, five great grandchildren, one brother, Gary (Wendy) Dupoy of Las Vegas, two sisters, Patricia (Rusty) Surratt of Meredosia and Linda Dupoy of Hollister, MO.

Also preceding her in death are her parents, one sister, Betty Kaesberg, infant twin siblings Marion and Richard, and infant sibling Jackie.

Sandy worked alongside her husband as an apprentice plumber. She then became a social worker for Senior Services in Springfield retiring in 2000. After retiring she worked as an investigator for the Fulton County Humane Society and at Moshier Pool Supply. Together with her husband they raised German Shepherds for the Illinois State Police. Later in life she would spend her time quietly listening to audio books and music.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 11 am at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. A burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.

Memorials may be made to Fulton County Humane Society.

Christine Pasley

Christine Pasley, 73, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.

She was born on June 3, 1953 in Canton.

She married Gary Pasley on June 24, 1972 in Canton. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Mayall, mother, Edna (May) Murphy, step father, Larry Murphy, one brother, Doug Murphy and her sisters, Peggy Murphy, Cindy Murphy and Becky Mayall.

Also surviving are her children, Dawn (Mike) Robison of Peoria, Shawn (Matt) Cullen of Canton, Michelle (Kenny) Shockency of Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills, two brothers, Butch (Linda) Mayall of AL, Harry (Tammy) Murphy of Glasford, two sisters, Bonnie “Jeanie” (John) Zukowski of Canton, Lisa (Craig) Bump of Canton, grandchildren, Lylee (Jesse) Salinas, Sam (Caely Guthrie) Cullen, Blake Cullen, Zayne Shockency, Anna Robison, Wyatt Robison and great grandchildren, Noah, Scottie and Elias.

Christine worked at Linn Lanes in Canton for many years and was active in the Canton Youth Bowling and the Women’s Bowling Association. She enjoyed spending time at the YMCA swimming with her lady friends and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Together with her husband she would travel around to various car shows admiring the Corvettes and even brought one home.

Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 11 am to 1 pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Cremation rites will follow the visitation and a private burial of her ashes will be held at the Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Canton Youth Bowling Program.

Judith Ann Shields

Judith Ann Shields, 86 of Springfield, Illinois, formerly of Pekin, Illinois, passed away on July 25th, 2026 at The Villas in Sherman, Illinois. She was born April 8, 1940 in Beardstown, Illinois, the daughter of Jay Benjamin and Gladys Irene (Davis) Danner. On September 8, 1962 she married Ronald Shields in Ipava, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2017.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Danner, one brother-in-law William Palmer, and one niece Lori (Danner) Aksland.

Judy is survived by two brothers; Larry (and Clare) Danner of Beardstown and Walter (and Janet) Danner of Astoria, Illinois, two sisters; Karen Palmer of the state of California and Donna Parr of Springfield, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.

She was the manager of the Peek-Inn mobile home community in Pekin for over 50 years.

Services for Judy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28th at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Summum Cemetery, Summum, Illinois. Memorials in Judy’s memory may be given to the Miller Senior Citizen Center or the Tazewell Animal Protective Society, both located in Pekin, Illinois. Shawgo Memorial Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Lawrence "Larry" J. Farrelly

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Lawrence John Farrelly of Peoria on July 10, 2026.

Larry, a former Catholic Priest, touched many lives with his work and talents. He leaves behind his older brother James (the late Barbara) Farrelly in Baltimore, and his younger sister Joyce O’Connell in Peoria. Larry's nephews include John O'Connell and Dan O'Connell from Illinois, and Stephen (Lauren) Farrelly from Maryland, and niece Jill (Michael Stuber) O’Connell from Arizona.

Larry's journey from the Catholic Priesthood to counseling was marked by his dedication and artistic talent. His impact on those around him will always be remembered.

Lennon Wayne Welbourne

Hand-picked from God our sweet angel, Lennon Wayne Welbourne, beloved son to Christopher Welbourne JR and Jalin Snider, peacefully went to be with the lord in the arms of his parents on July 18, 2026 at 1:37 PM at OSF St. Francis.

In addition to his parents, Lennon is survived by his paternal grandfather, Christopher Welbourne. Paternal great-grandparents, Stan and Julie Miller of Havana, IL, great-great grandmother Paulene Atchley, and two aunts, Izzy Atchley, and Lillian of Havana, IL. His maternal grandparents Austin and Kristin Snider of Bryant, IL, maternal great-grandparents, Tom and Mona Bruder of Lutz, FL, maternal grandmother Valerie Evans of Canton, IL, maternal great-grandparents Dr. Robert and Nanda Honegger of The Villages, FL, great-great grandparents Richard and Barb Honegger of Peoria, IL, great- great grandpa Dale Smith of Canton, IL, Two uncles Lukis Gee and Jaxtin Snider, and one aunt Julianna Snider.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great- great grandfather Dick Atchley, great- great grandfather Lloyd Welbourne, great-great uncle Kenny Wayne, maternal great grandfather James Asher, great- great grandparents Nancy and Chellis Evans, great- great grandmother Charlene Smith, and great- great grandfather Kent Taylor.

These are my footprints, so perfect and so small. These tiny footprints, never touched the ground at all. Not one tiny footprint, for now I have my wings. These tiny footprints were meant for other things. You will hear my tiny footprints in the patter of the rain. Gentle drops like angel tears, of joy and not from pain. You will see my tiny footprints, in the butterflies’ lazy dance. Ill let you know I’m with you, if you give me the chance. You will see my tiny footprints, in the rustle of the leaves. I will whisper your names into the wind, and call each one that grieves. Most of all, these tiny footprints, are found in mommy and daddy’s heart, cause even though I’m gone now, we’ll never truly part.

A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Cemetery on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Sheldon Westerfield will officiate. Kim Scott

Kimberly Scott, 68, of Canton, passed away, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at home in Canton.

She was born in Pekin, on July 8, 1958, to William and Eulalia (Seay) Smith. They preceded her in death as well as her son Kenny Purtle, Brother, Kevin Smith, and sister, Gladys Zimmerman.

Kim shared over 30 years of marriage with Jim Scott before he passed away in 2011.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Purtle, several step children and grandchildren in Arkansas, brother, Bob Cozad, 7 grandchildren, Jasmine, Tanner, Isaihah, Dominique, Mariah, Hunter, and Easton, and 3 great grandchildren, Hazely, Sayge, and Finn.

Kim dedicated several years to serving her community with the Fulton County Ambulance Service before working for the City of Canton ESDA. She later founded and operated Straight Line Storm Team, combining her passion for weather with helping others.

Kim found joy in many hobbies and interests. She loved fishing, the world of Harry Potter, spending time on her computer, playing World of Warcraft, watching Charmed and Lucifer, swimming, and collecting all things unicorn. Above all else, Kim cherished her beloved cat, Calvin, and treasured every moment spent with her family. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother, and she especially loved making memories with her grandchildren.

Cremation rites will be accorded with Oak-Hines Funeral Home in Canton and a celebration of life will be held at the Canton Elk’s Lodge #626, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinsons Association.

Irma Margaret Uphoff

GLASFORD ~ Irma Margaret Uphoff, 94, of Peoria, formerly of Glasford, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

She was born on January 9, 1932, in rural Hanna City, a daughter of Edward J. Kroepel and Marie (Fischer) Kroepel. Irma married Donald J. "Jake" Uphoff on June 30, 1951, in Glasford. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2013, in Glasford.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bernice Stevens and Eleanor Rosenbohm; one brother, Lawrence Kroepel; two sons, Jim and Gary Uphoff.

Irma is survived by three grandchildren, Kristin (Bill) Hedge of Mapleton, Jaimie Uphoff of Mapleton, and Jacob Uphoff of Knoxville, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Suzanne Uphoff of Mapleton.

She was the Postmaster for Edwards, Illinois, Post Office, retiring in 1993 after 25 years.

Irma was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford and the Red Hat Society. She loved spending time with her family, genealogy, and volunteering at Wildlife Prairie Park Gift Shop.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford. Rev. Raymond Barclay will officiate. Her visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, also on Friday at the church. Burial will take place in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church or a charity of donor's choice.
