Surviving are three children; Kirstie (Richard) Craver of Fairview, Stefanie Simons of Castalian Springs, TN and Michael Simons Jr. of Binton, VA, two .sisters; Dixie Way of Fairview and Marla Simons of Fairview, one step-brother Don (Donna) Young of Canton, two step-sisters; Jeri (late Donald) Allen and Patty (Jerry) Hilton both of Fairview and five grandchildren; Mahaley, Michael III, Kwenton, Katie and Skyler.
Sip was preceded in death by his parents, sister Connie Simons and step-brother Michael Young.
He worked as a pharmaceutical courier, retiring in 2010. Sip was an avid Chicago sports fan. He played many sports including baseball, slow pitch softball and bar room pool He owned and operated Simons Beer Garden in his backyard and loved his 4th of July parties with his “garbage can” meals. He loved to travel, especially Jamaica.
Services will be 3 pm Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be from 1-3 pm. Cremation rites will follow the services. Burial of Ashes will take place in Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be made to the family to help offset funeral costs.
