Joel E Moore

Joel E Moore 53, of Manito, entered the gates of heaven on Sunday, May 24th. He is the first born son of John & Julie (Keith) Moore. He married his beautiful bride, Stacey, who stayed by his side and provided exceptional care for him. They were married on June 4, 2010, in St. Louis, Missouri. Two amazing kiddos, Tyler (Amber) Moore and Reagan Osborn, left to carry on how they were raised. He was the best role model to his siblings: Jenny (Dan) Kraft, Josh (Kayla) Moore, in law siblings: Heather (Justin) DeTrempe, Jesse DeTrempe. He was a terrific Uncle Uncle Uncle to his 7 nieces (Ashlee, Katie, Remi, Maddy, Jodan, Zaybree, Sadie) and 1 nephew (Dexter). His 3 granddogs: Bucky, Dreamer, and Dean. He showed extreme love & compassion while helping others, and never met a stranger! He chose to specialize in psychiatric nursing, working at the VA and Carle Health. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals and The Peanuts Gang. He enjoyed playing softball on different teams and bowling with Tyler. He enjoyed helping with The Penguin Project with Reagan. He fought his Oral Cancer with courage, braveness, and a positive attitude, until his body could take no more. Visitation will be held Friday, May 29th at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home in Manito from 5-7pm. Celebration of life will be held at a future date.
